George A.  Douvros brings a wealth of global experience in the Capital Markets.  Core skills include originating, structuring and executing global transactions including IPOs, SPOs, Reverse Mergers, private placements, restructuring and physical commodities trading.   Mr. Douvros has 28 years of experience in investment banking specializing at the Marine Transportation, Energy and Commodities Trading Industries. His career in investment banking began at Telesis Securities first as the head of Sales Trading of the foreign institutional desk and later at ABN AMRO Securities in London where he set up and developed the Greek Desk.  He has completed 32 IPOs and a great number of Secondary Public Offerings at the Athens Stock Exchange and the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange listings.  Mr. Douvros was also the Co-founder and Director of the Capital Markets Division under FAS in PwC Athens and Major Shareholder and Managing Partner of UAB Alpha Baltic Securities in Lithuania, Member of the Lithuanian Stock Exchange. 

Mr. Douvros also has 21 years of experience in the Marine Transportation industry as an active industry participant and serial entrepreneur. In 2004 he acquired his first Tanker Vessel and since then and up until today he has been Co-founder and Managing Partner at a number of Shipping Ventures active as Ship Owner, Ship Manager, Broker and Shipping Financier of Dry Bulk, Tanker, Offshore Cruise and Container vessels. He has substantial industry expertise and an active global network. George is also an angel investor working with Marine Transportation, logistics and energy startups focusing on innovation, digital management, IoT, AI and green technologies.  

He holds an MBA in Finance from Butler University and a BSc in Finance from the University of Indianapolis.  He is a Certified Chartering and S&P Ship Broker and an active Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and Member of the Board of the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association.  He is a Member of The Association of International Energy Negotiators, NYMAR, Propeller Club of the United States- Port of Piraeus Division and BIMCO.
