Hugo Peña is a legal professional with more than 15 years of experience working in the United States, Europe, and Latin America for a wide range of clients across different organizations and law firms. His approach focuses on understanding clients’ needs and designing business and legal advisory strategies aimed at addressing their challenges.

At the beginning of his career, Hugo worked as in-house counsel for one of Mexico’s largest industrial real estate developers. He later worked in the legal services and investment funds industries in London. He has held several leadership positions related to business development and marketing, litigation finance, financial services, global mobility, and government relations. During a decade in the United Kingdom, Hugo gained valuable international experience managing global initiatives and complex legal matters, particularly in commercial litigation and competition law. Over the past five years, Hugo led the business development, marketing, and communications team at one of México’s largest firms and is currently involved in the investor relations industry, with particular focus across litigation funding opportunities.

 

Hugo has extensive experience building teams from the ground up, particularly in business development, and often takes the initiative on key industry matters with leading stakeholders, including maintaining relationships with law firms around the world. He is a strong advocate for the role played by business professionals in the legal sector and has experience in legal operations and strategy across a wide range of industries and clients.
